NOTE:The larger canvases that I work on are all on unstretched canvas and as such I wish for them to be displayed this way.In general I seldom ever frame my work as I feel like it separates the viewer from the art and,in fact,wherever I have used frames in a piece,they become a part of the piece.I want the viewer to see the hand of the artist in the work and to connect directly with the work and I feel that frames and glass only serve to separate the two and lessen the experience.-Jim Charette |
